Ente Keralam: KSUM showcases futuristic vision of state’s startup ecosystem

Kochi, May 20: The pavilion of Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM) at ‘Ente Keralam 2025’ exhibition, which began at Marine Drive here as part of the state government’s fourth anniversary celebrations, brought to viewers vivid images of the transformative impact of futuristic technologies, including artificial intelligence, in day-to-day life.
The show also featured the strength of the state’s startup ecosystem in leveraging cutting-edge technologies like artificial intelligence, robotics, and machine learning for coming out with a wide range of innovative products and solutions.
‘AI for Common People’ is the theme of the KSUM pavilion. The show has been planned for seven days each in all the 14 districts as part of the April 21-May 24 event. The event at Kochi will conclude on May 23.
KSUM CEO Shri Anoop Ambika said the KSUM pavilion provides the visitors a vivid glance into the transformative impact of the futuristic technologies, and how well Kerala-based startups have leveraged them to come out with a wide range of products and solutions that impact their lives.
A range of innovative products and solutions based on technologies such as artificial intelligence, augmented reality/virtual reality, 3D printing, drones, robotics, IoT are on display.
The exhibits include such products as video production through voice, hailing taxi by using voice, analysis of new generation words, AR/VR goggles, a robot dog called Dogbot, a robot that takes classes for children, a mini boat, an IoT system that helps farming and gardening, AI caricaturing and a facial recognition system.
The visitors got a first-hand experience about the functioning of robot 'iris' , which is the country's first AI humanoid robot teacher. Developed by Makerlabs Edutech and launched at a school in Thiruvananthapuram in March last year, Iris is a sari-clad robot that uses generative AI and robotics to engage students in interactive learning activities.
Unique World Robotics introduced a robot dog named Ben and drones of Fuselage Innovations at the KSUM pavilion.
KSUM pavilion at Idukki, Kottayam, Alappuzha and Kannur exhibitions bagged prize for the best theme store.
