Make full use of parking lots: Infopark tells employees

Kochi / April 23, 0005

Kochi, Apr. 23: Infopark has added around 600 additional car-parking lots to meet repeated requests for parking from private companies and developers who have leased land in the IT complex.

Infopark at suburban Kakkanad has four buildings of its own in Phase-1. The companies in it already enjoy parking facilities.

Infopark Square, adjacent to the Infopark's Southern gate, is entirely dedicated to paid parking. It has space for 140 cars; only 40 percent is of this is used on an average.

A free electric buggy service is also available from Infopark Square parking to the companies. The free service features two electric buggies that go from both entrances of Infopark and in front of all the buildings. The service is from 8.30 am to 11 am and then for three hours from 4 pm. A buggy can accommodate 14 people.

In addition, authorities have provided parking facilities on private land adjacent to the Southern entrance of the Infopark Expressway. There is parking space for 340 cars. Companies in Infopark can also acquire parking here on a bulk-lease basis, but here too, only 58 percent of the parking is used.

The multi-storey parking lot at Infopark's own building, Athulya, too, has space for 40 cars. More parking has been provided when the number of IT companies and employees increased. Even so, as Infopark officials note, there is a trend of parking on the roadside outside the campus.

Infopark social-media accounts and internal WhatsApp groups have posted a map containing the parking facilities at. In addition, a digital display displaying parking facilities has been set up on the Phase-1 campus.
