KFL launches SMS system for farmers to easily access products

Thrissur, Mar 29: Kerala Feeds Limited (KFL) has launched an SMS system for dairy farmers, providing them quick access to the details of the distributors who sell them the products of the PSU.
The facility, launched on Friday, ensures that each farmer gets the registration number of the respective distributor’s vehicle carrying the feed, the cellphone number of its driver and the estimated time of the arrival of the consignment It also provides the contact numbers of the marketing officer in charge of their district, regional head, field staff, unit head and the transporting contractor.
All these information will reach the farmer’s mobile phone through SMS, according to KFL Managing Director Shri Shibu A.T.
“Through this system, we aim to strengthen our marketing network and also help our farmers,” he added.
In case a farmer faces a problem with the arrival of the KFL product, he or she can contact the relevant number, he pointed out.
The 1999-founded KFL, headquartered at Kallettumkara near Irinjalakuda in this district, manufactures products for various breeds of cows with the aim of keeping them in good health as well as better productivity and quality of milk.
