Employee fitness: Cyberpark opens Sahya Fitness Club

Kozhikode, Feb 18: The employees of IT companies in Government Cyberparkopened a fitness initiative at its pivotal Sahya building as part of providing employees healthier life with state-of-the-art equipment for physical recreation.
Cyberbark General Manager Vivek Nair inaugurated the ‘Sahya Fitness Club’, marking a new chapter in the authorities’ efforts to boost employee care. Abdul Gafoor, Director - IOSS & President - CAFIT, and Anusree, HR - Govt Cyber Park attended the inaugural function.
The evening facility will be of “valuable relief” to the employees, who typically sit for long working hours. “A sedentary schedule leads them to ignore the need for physical activity,” he pointed out.
The club provide facilities for physical exercises for an hour from 6.30 pm every day, enabling them do warm-up, bodyweight workout and muscle-strengthening exercises. With professional trainers, the service is for free.
The Sahya Fitness Club comes a year after Cyberpark opened a Sports Arena for the employees. Inaugurated in February 2024, the Sports Arena seeks to reduce employee stress and ensure their physical fitness. It consists of two five's football turfs of 1,017 square feet each, one 2,035 sq ft seven's football turf, a basketball turf of 640 square feet and two double’s badminton courts.
