Tourism Minister Shri P A Mohamed Riyas inaugurates Technopark Premier League
Around 200 teams will participate in India’s biggest cricket tournament in IT sector

Thiruvananthapuram, Jan. 08: Tourism Minister Shri PA Mohamed Riyas today inaugurated Technopark Premier League (TPL), country’s biggest cricket tournament in IT sector, at Technopark here.
Shri Riyas inaugurated the tournament by facing an over from former India A team player VA Jagadeesh who was the chief guest of the inaugural ceremony.
TPL 2025 is organized by Prathidhwani, the welfare and recreation forum of IT employees at Technopark.
“Events like TPL will be help IT employees to relieve from work stress and help them rejuvenate mentally,” said Shri Riyas. He also praised Prathidhwani ‘s efforts in organising TPL 2025 in a larger scale.
An exhibition match between incumbent champions H&R Block and Prathidhwani XI followed after the inaugural ceremony.
TPL 2025 features around 164 teams in men’s category and more than 30 teams in women’s category. The tournament will see the participation of more than 3000 IT employees representing various IT companies competing for the title. The tournament stretches for 5 months.
Since its first edition in 2001, TPL has become the biggest sporting event in the country’s IT sector due to the overwhelming participation of teams from IT companies in Technopark, India’s first IT Park.
