National Milk Day: Public can visit Milma’s Kollam Dairy on Nov 25, 26

Kollam, Nov. 21: Milma’s Kollam Dairy has made all arrangements to enable the public, including students, to visit the plant on November 25 and 26, coinciding with the National Milk Day celebrations.

The country observes the birth anniversary of Dr Verghese Kurien, hailed as ‘India’s Milkman’ on November 26.

The visit to the dairy will enable the public to see how the plant processes milk and makes a variety of dairy products, besides giving them an opportunity to participate in the National Milk Day celebrations.

The visitors will be allowed to the dairy from 10 am to 5 pm on both days.

The Kollam Dairy, under the Trivandrum Regional Cooperative Milk Producers’ Union (TRCMPU) of Milma, is a state-of-the-art facility.

The visitors can also buy Milma’s products at attractive rates from the special stalls set up in the plant to mark the occasion.
