Entries invited for Prathidhwani Qisa Film Fest 2024

Thiruvananthapuram, Nov. 09: Prathidhwani, the welfare and recreation forum of IT employees at Technopark, has invited entries for the 13th edition of Prathidhwani Qisa Film Festival (PQFF) from IT employees across the state.

The short film festival will showcase creative talents of IT employees from Technopark, Infopark, and Cyber Park. The duration of the short films should be between 3 to 45 minutes. Selected films will be screened at the Travancore Hall of Technopark here.

The last date for submitting the entries is November 30.

The Best Short Film will get a cash prize of Rs 20,000 and a memento while the Second Best Film will be awarded Rs 10,000 along with a memento. The Best Script and Best Director will get Rs 10,000 each and mementos. There will be special awards in the Best Actor, Actress, Cinematographer and Editor categories.

So far, PQFF has premiered more than 600 short films of techies. The winners received awards from personalities like Shri Shaji N Karun (2012), Shri Vineeth Srinivasan (2013), Shri Adoor Gopalakrishnan (2014), Shri Shyamaprasad (2015), Shri Jayaraj (2016), Shri. Dileesh Pothen (2017), Shri Amal Neerad (2018), Shri Khalid Rahman (2019) Shri Vidhu Vincent (2020), Shri Jeo baby (2021), Shri MF Thomas (2022) and Shri TK Rajeev Kumar(2023) in previous years.

Noted film critic Shri MF Thomas had been the jury chairperson for the first nine years and Mr Krishnendhu Kalesh, Ms Deepika Susheelan and Ms Sajitha Madathil were the jury chairpersons in the subsequent years.
