KFL to launch insurance coverage scheme on Monday

Thrissur, Oct 18: Kerala Feeds Limited (KFL) is launching a free state-wide insurance coverage for the cows of farmers, as Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development Minister Smt J. Chinchurani will inaugurate the scheme on Monday with Higher Education and Social Justice Minister Smt R. Bindu as the chief guest.
The scheme will cover 250 farmers, who were selected through a draw in mid-February this year as part of the stage-level Padavu-2024 dairy farmers’ meeting held by the Dairy Development Ministry at Anakkara in Idukki district.
The others to address the October 21 function at Face Hall in the PSU’s headquarters in Kallettumkara near Irinjalakuda will be the KFL Chairman Shri K. Sreekumar, MD Dr B. Sreekumar, Assistant General Manager Smt Usha Padmanabhan, Aloor Grama Panchayat President Shri K.R. Jojo, District Panchayat member Shri P.K. Davis, Mala Block Panchayat member Smt Sandhya Naisan, Aloor Grama Panchayat member Smt Omana George, Art Co Chairman Shri Anoop V.S. and Managing Director Mathew C.V. besides leaders of trade unions.
The 1995-founded KFL manufactures products for various breeds of cows with the aim of keeping them in good health as well as better productivity and quality of milk.
