Thiruvananthapuram, Sept 15: Kerala Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (KCMMF), known by its brand name Milma, has achieved an all-time record in sales of milk, curd and other dairy products this Onam season.

On Uthradam day, the Milma outlets sold 37,00,365 litres of milk and 3,91,576 kg of curd, ahead of Thiru Onam.

Six days before Thiru Onam, the state-owned cooperative supplied 1,33,47,013 litres of milk and 14,95,332 kg of curd.

The sale of ghee totalled 814 metric tons on September 12 as Kerala households started preparations for Onam celebrations on August 15.

Milma has been steadily increasing seasonal sales, maintaining its unassailable position as the market leader in dairy products.

Last year, the total sale of milk exceeded 1,00,56,889 litres, compared to 94,56,621 litres during the four peak days of Onam the previous year.

Similarly, the sale of curd during the four days last season hit a record of 12,99,215 kg, compared to the previous year’s 11,25,437 kg.

Milma made meticulous plans well in advance to ensure an uninterrupted supply of milk, curd, and other products during the Onam days, exploring all available procurement sources.

KCMMF Chairman Shri K S Mani hailed consumers for their brand loyalty to Milma products, without which KCMMF could not achieve this landmark sale during the Onam period.

He also thanked the Federation's board of directors, regional unions, management, dairy farmers, Milma employees, distribution vehicle employees, and distributors for their significant contributions to achieving creditable performance.

“This record performance in a row endorses the immense consumer confidence in our staple products, known for their quality and efficiency in delivery,” he said.
