Conclave on Continuing Investments to feature 250 entrepreneurs

July 29 event in Kochi to support ongoing investments

Kochi, July 26: Inspiring further confidence in entrepreneurs who have invested more than Rs. 5 crore each in the state over the last three years, the government is hosting a conclave here on July 29 with the aim of helping them scale up their ventures.

Planned by Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation (KSIDC) and the Department of Industries & Commerce, the ‘Conclave on Continuing Investments,’ featuring around 250 entrepreneurs, will be inaugurated by Minister for Industries, Law and Coir Shri P. Rajeeve. 

Principal Secretary Shri A.P.M. Mohammed Hanish will preside over the opening ceremony of the day-long event at Le Meridien. 

The Minister will also interact with the investors. Following this, four experts will share their experiences and interact with the investors at an hour-long session.

KSIDC Chairman Shri Paul Antony, a former Chief Secretary, will deliver a special address at the event with 200-odd entrepreneurs who have made a collective investment of Rs 10,000 crore. 

Oher speakers at the ceremony starting at 10.15 a.m. will be Director, Industries and Commerce and KSIDC Managing Director Shri S. Harikishore; KSIDC Executive Director Shri Hari Krishnan R.; KINFRA Managing Director Shri Santhosh Koshy Thomas; CII (Kerala State Council) Chairman Vinod Manjila; FICCI Co-Chairman (Kerala State Council) Shri Deepak Aswani; KSSIA President Shri A. Nizarudeen and DIC Additional Director Dr Kripakumar K.S.

“The conclave is aimed at facilitating and supporting the ongoing investments in the state, besides showcasing Kerala’s growth story,” Shri Harikishore said.

Post-lunch, the meet will feature four sessions. The proceedings will conclude at 5 p.m. with a 90-minute session where top officials of various government departments will address the queries by the identified investors.

The four speakers at the pre-lunch session will be Synthite Director Shri Aju Jacob; VKC Group Managing Director and KSIDC Director V.K.C. Razzak; VNG Group Vice-Chairman Shri Sreenath Vishnu and Bipha Drug Laboratories CEO and MD Shri Ajay George Varghese.

The post-lunch sessions will start with four presentations — by KSIDC General Managers Shri G. Unnikrishnan (on financial schemes) and Shri Varghese Malakaran (on incentive schemes and other initiatives); DIC Deputy Directors Shri Shabeer M. and Shri Premraj P. (on DIC schemes and support) and MSME-DFO Joint Director Shri G.S. Prakash (on central government schemes).
