Kerala Startup Mission partners with Hero MotoCorp

Strategic tie-up to accelerate growth of state’s ecosystem

Thiruvananthapuram, July 24:  Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM) has forged a strategic partnership with automotive major Hero MotoCorp Limited (HMCL), aimed at accelerating growth of the startup ecosystem in state by leveraging combined strengths.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) formalising the collaboration was signed today by KSUM CEO Shri Anoop Ambika and Mr Swadesh Kumar Srivastava, Chief Business Officer, Emerging Mobility, Hero MotoCorp Limited, in the presence of Shri Rathan U Kelkar, Secretary E & IT, Government of Kerala, at his chamber here.

The agreement marks a significant step towards fostering innovation and entrepreneurship in the state, with an industry leader endorsing the strengths of the startup ecosystem in the state.

“This partnership marks a milestone as it will pave the way for a more robust and dynamic entrepreneurial landscape in the state,” Shri Anoop Ambika said.
The agreement facilitates KSUM and HMCL to collaborate, support and nurture startups in Kerala. KSUM will curate and recommend startups that align with HMCL's focus areas, providing them with necessary resources and support.
Both partners will organize knowledge sessions, workshops and other interventions to support startups in their growth journey, providing them with valuable insights and knowledge.

KSUM will spearhead efforts to create awareness about HMCL's innovation initiatives. This includes organizing events and roadshows to promote HMCL's brand and initiatives at both state and national levels.

KSUM will also extend benefits under state startup schemes to the enterprises selected by HMCL, including financial assistance, grants and incubation facilities.

The state facilitator will identify and recommend startups based on HMCL’s requirements, support the company in organizing events, and roadshows and outreach efforts initiatives through various channels to promote HMCL programs.

The collaboration will be taken forward by adhering to HMCL’s brand guidelines in all engagements.

Adhering to KSUM’s brand guidelines, HMCL will oversee the implementation and operations of engagements with stakeholders, contribute to creating a holistic ecosystem that encourages innovation and entrepreneurship.
