Goethe-Zentrum brings German Films to city on July 28
Film Fest planned with Banner Film Society

Thiruvananthapuram, July 24: Banner Film Society in association with German cultural forum Goethe-Zentrum is organising a one-day German Film Festival in the city on July 28, featuring four remarkable films released in 2021.
The films will be screened at Lenin Balavadi, Vazhuthacaud.
Kerala State Chalachitra Academy Vice Chairman Shri Prem Kumar will inaugurate the Film Festival at 11 am. Film critic Shri M F Thomas will preside over the function where Goethe-Zentrum Director Dr Syed Ibrahim will be the chief guest.
Banner Film Society Secretary Shri R Biju and Joint Secretary Shri Sandeep Suresh will also attend.
Florian Dietrich-directed poignant comedy-drama ‘Toubab‘ (9.30 am) is the opening film. The other flicks to be screened at the festival include ‘Precious Ivie‘ (11.15 am), ‘Le Prince‘ (2.30 pm), and ‘The Last Execution‘ (4.30 pm).
Directed by Lisa Bierwrith, ‘Le Prince‘ is a gripping drama about a young man who faces the challenges of adulthood and societal expectations. ‘Precious Ivie‘, helmed by Sarah Blasskiewitz, follows the tale of two Afro-German half-sisters while filmmaker Franziska Stunkel’s ‘The Last Execution‘ is all about the true story of the last person executed in East Germany.
Entry to the festival is free.
