Lifology, CBSE to host National Guidance Fest finale

Culmination to be held at Loyola School in city on Jan 12

Thiruvananthapuram, Jan. 11: The grand finale of the National Guidance Festival 2023, a pioneering initiative by Technopark-based startup Lifology Foundation and the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) aimed at equipping students with skills on par with global standard and imparting career guidance to them, will be held here on January 12.

The event focuses on nurturing creativity, innovation and peer-learning among a diverse group of participants, including students from Class 7 to 12, principals, heads of institutions, government officials, corporate representatives, and parents. Besides, it aims to integrate skill development into mainstream education.

Dr. G Madhavan Nair, Former Chairman of ISRO, will inaugurate the finale at Loyola School, Sreekariyam in the capital city at 9.45 am.

The National Guidance Festival 2023 is being organised by Lifology Foundation in association with CBSE and the World Bank.

Shri R V Balasubramaniam Iyer, Vice President, Jio Platforms Ltd.; Dr. Biswajit Saha, CBSE Director; Shri R P Singh, Joint Secretary, Skill Education, CBSE; Ms. Katja Väyrynen, Senior Consultant, Management Institute of Finland (MIF); and Brigadier Salil M P, Indian Army, will also attend.

A panel discussion on ‘NextGen Careers: Visions of Tomorrow's Workforce” will be held on the occasion, to be attended by Tilt Labs CEO Shri Nikhil Chandran; Marketing Director, Vajra Rubber Products, Shri Kannan PS; Associate Director, EY, Shri Sarat Babu; and CNN-News18 journalist, Ms. Neethu Reghukumar. 

Shri Rahul J Nair, Co-Founder, Lifology Foundation, will speak on ‘Triple P Summit: Passion to Profession’ at the finale.

Launched in New Delhi in September 2023, Lifology Foundation has already conducted the National Guidance Festival in 10 states across the country, garnering accolades from academic and industry domains.

A Skill Expo, one of the key features of the festival, was also organised on the sidelines of the event, showcasing the latest evolving global scenario and preparing students for challenges and opportunities arising in future. It had themes such as 'Local to Global', 'Future Tech', 'Health and Wellness', 'Hospitality & Tourism', 'Sustainability & Environmental Conservation', and 'AVGC Sector.'
