Thiruvananthapuram, Jan. 06: The DELIZA brand dark chocolates and Chocofull snack bar launched by Milma to tap new trends and demands for tasty and healthy snacks have proved instant hits in the market in less than two months of their launch, with sales crossing Rs one crore.

The DELIZA brand dark chocolates, launched in three variants in mid-November 2023, two Chocofull snack bar variants and a milk chocolate variant marked the entry of Kerala Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation (KCMMF), known by the brand Milma, into this premium segment.

KCMMF hit the market with the new products as part of its ambitious ‘Repositioning Milma 2023’ initiative, becoming the second dairy co-operative federation in the country after Amul to launch dark chocolates.

Of the three variants under the dark chocolate segment, one is plain dark chocolate, while the other two are combinations of orange and almonds and raisins and almonds. Currently, 70g and 35g of DELIZA dark chocolate and milk chocolate are made available in the market.

Milma Chairman Shri KS Mani said the roaring success of DELIZA brand within a short span of its launch vindicated Milma’s plans to reinforce its market dominance by introducing healthy and nutritious products by catering to the demands and taste of the new generation.

Shri Mani said the overwhelming acceptance to the new products like dark chocolate will help the market expansion of Milma, besides the diversification of its dairy products.

The dark chocolates of Milma under the premium chocolate segment contain more than 50 percent cocoa, which could be relished irrespective of age.

The 35g and 70g DELIZA milk chocolate and DELIZA plain dark chocolate are priced at Rs 35 and Rs 70, respectively, while 35g and 70g of DELIZA dark chocolate with orange and almonds, and raisins and almonds cost Rs 40 and Rs 80 respectively. Chocofull snack bar of 12 gm is priced at Rs 10 and of 30 gm at Rs 20.

Milma has also introduced a Gift Box named ‘Little Moments’, containing an assortment of chocolates.
