Pre-incubation Grant: KSUM invites applications for Nidhi Prayas till Jan 15

Kochi, Jan 3: As part of financial grants for innovative ideas in the hardware sector, Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM) has invited applications for the union government’s Nidhi Prayas, the deadline for which is January 15.

Young entrepreneurs, who run nascent companies based on science and technology or who have their own product models can apply through https://startupmission.kerala.gov.in/nidhiprayaas. The applicants should be Indian citizens (hence above age 18). For more information, email at nidhiprayas@startupmission.in  .

Projects related to pure software development. e-commerce, service solutions and app-based solutions will not be eligible to apply.

DST-NIDHI's Promoting and Accelerating Young and Aspiring technology entrepreneurs (PRAYAS) is a pre-incubation initiative which supports young innovators to turn their ideas into Proof of Concept. The program aims to provide a platform to young innovators to generate solutions for relevant local and social problem. PRAYAS will also promote vibrant innovation ecosystem, by establishing a network between innovators, academia, mentors, and incubators by catalyzing the process of commercialization for innovators.

Implemented by Program Management Unit at recognized PRAYAS centres, and KSUM is among them. The grant will be primarily utilised to covert innovative ideas into prototypes. The ideas and innovations should be physical product based on technology and science. The period for the prototyping support is 18 months.

KSUM, which was established in 2006 under the Kerala government, works for entrepreneurship development and incubation activities in the state.
