Global Ayurveda Fest to feature world’s largest expo

700 stalls in over 2,50,000 sqft area

Thiruvananthapuram, Nov. 28: The largest ever expo on Ayurveda at a sprawling 2,50,000 square feet space featuring over 700 stalls will be a major component of the fifth Global Ayurveda Festival (GAF 2023), getting under way at the Greenfield International Stadium at Karyavattam here on December 1.

Leading Ayurvedic institutions besides Ayush Department of the Government of India will showcase their products and services at the expo.

The five-day GAF 2023 will have a 10,000 sq ft area for the Ayush Expo, one of the major highlights of the conclave.

Hon’ble Vice President of India Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar will inaugurate GAF 2023 on December 1, whose central theme is “Emerging Health Challenges & A Resurgent Ayurveda.” Shri Sarbananda Sonowal, Union Ayush Minister, will inaugurate the National Arogya Fair organized as part of GAF on the opening day.

A Home Pavilion built in an area of 1,200 sqft with the theme ‘Ayurveda Today, Yesterday and Tomorrow’ will showcase the history and latest trends in Ayurveda. Apart from the Arogya Expo pavilion of the Ayush Department, there will be stalls of sponsors and major Ayush institutions.

Also, there will be pavilions of 20 Ayurveda colleges at the Educational Expo offering to the visitors vivid glances into the unique features of Ayurveda. Exhibitions of Medicinal Plants, Ayurveda Hospitals and MSMEs are the other highlights of the event. In the MSME Expo, startups will exhibit their products in 120 stalls.

A free medical camp, comprising 25 specialty clinics, making available outpatient services of top Ayurveda physicians will be open on all five days at the venue. Also, Rs 15 lakh worth of medicines will be distributed free as part of the medical camp. There will be a spacious ‘Ayurveda Aahar’ food court serving a wide variety of healthy food. Besides, an awareness class will be held for the public about Ayurveda medicinal plants and yoga as part of the expo.

GAF will also see India's first dedicated Business -to- Business (B2B) meet on Ayurveda medical tourism. The National Arogya Fair at GAF will showcase a diverse range of medicinal plants and their utilization in Ayurvedic preparations. 

The conference is organized by the Centre for Innovation in Science and Social Action (CISSA) in collaboration with the Ministry of Ayush, the Government of India, Government of Kerala and various Ayurveda associations. The event will be attended by delegations from over 70 countries.
