TMA meet to draw up roadmap for Kerala Capital’s sustainable growth

May 18-19 event to focus on Trivandrum 5.0—Prosperity Beyond Profit

Thiruvananthapuram, May 16: The two-day conclave of Trivandrum Management Association (TMA), TRIMA 2023, opening here on Thursday, will come out with a comprehensive blueprint on inclusive and sustainable development of the State Capital Region (SCR) based on in-depth deliberations on key topics by corporate leaders, administrators and elected representatives.

Hon’ble Governor of Kerala Shri Arif Mohammad Khan will inaugurate the conclave on May 18 at Hotel O by Tamara at 5 pm, setting the stage for a sterling line-up of speakers to brainstorm over core themes and draw up an actionable plan to enable growth of the state capital beyond the traditional concept of profit and success.

‘Trivandrum 5.0—Prosperity Beyond Profit’ is the focal theme of the annual Management Convention.

The Governor will also give away TMA-Padosan CSR Award, TMA-Adani Startup Award and TMA-KIMS Paper Presentation Award on the occasion. Members of Parliament Dr Shashi Tharoor and Dr John Brittas will address the valedictory session. 

Emphasising the centrality of humans, the concept of Industry 5.0 seeks to blend the power of smart, precise and accurate technologies like AI and ML with human activity, creativity and ingenuity. It sees human beings and the nature they exist in to benefit from the development of science and technology by striking a proper balance and creating an ambience of harmony.

Mr Rajesh Jha, Chairman, TRIMA Committee and MD & CEO, Adani Vizhinjam Port Pvt Ltd., will present the concept of TRIMA 2023 at the inaugural session, where Mr C Padmakumar, President, TMA and Director, Kerala Life Sciences Industries Parks Pvt.Ltd., will welcome the gathering. Dr M I Sahadulla, Co-Chairman, TRIMA, and CMD, KIMS Healthcare Management will give an introduction to the awards.

Mr Ajit Mathai, Founder, mByom Consulting and Management Services, will present the theme of TRIMA 2023. Wg. Cdr. Ragashree D Nair (Retd), Hon. Secretary, TMA and Co-Chair, Medical Ethos Pvt. Ltd., will present the annual activity report of TMA.

Mr C Padmakumar will moderate the first technical session on ‘Innovation and Entrepreneurship.’ Mr Ajay Pitre, Managing Partner, Pitre Business Ventures; Mr Sandith Thandasherry, CEO, Navalt Solar and Electric Boats; and Ms Suja Chandy, SVP and Managing Director, Zafin India will speak at the session.

Mr Mohammed Y Safirulla, IAS, Project Director, E-Health, Government of Kerala, will share his perspectives on ‘Technology and Inclusivity’ in the second session scheduled on May 19 at 10.15 am. Mr K Nandakumar, Founder President and CEO, SunTec Business Solutions; Mr Paul Kronenberg, Founder, Kanthari; and Dr RS Jayasree, Scientist, SCTIMST, will also attend the session, moderated by Mr Robin Tommy, Social Innovation and Startup Mentor, TCS.

Mr Prodyut Maji, Head of Technology and Project, Adani Enterprises Ltd.; Dr Sudeshna Chatterjee, Programme Director of WRI India Centre for Cities; Mr Saurabh Suneja, Principal, National Investment and Infrastructure Fund; and Mr N Mahesh, Principal Architect, Iyer & Mahesh, will speak at the session on ‘Sustainable Solutions for One World’ at 11.45 am. Mr Bobby E Kurien, Director, Re Sustainability Limited, is the moderator.

In the final technical session on the concluding day, Mr C Balagopal, Chairman, Federal Bank, will speak on ‘A New Era of Responsible Business’ at 2.30 pm. Ms Anisha Cherian, Founder Director, Chemmanur Academy and Systems; Mr Xavier Lawrence, Founder, Odaku Online Services; and Ms Smitha Sharma, Global Program Manager- CSR, UST will also attend the session to be moderated by Mr Raj Kalady, CEO, Pallium India.  

Over 400 delegates, including industry leaders, decision makers, professionals, members of the business fraternity and policy makers, will attend the event.
