US Technology International gets TMA Padosan CSR Award

Governor to present award at inaugural session of TRIMA 2023

Thiruvananthapuram, May 14: US Technology International Pvt Ltd (UST) has won the TMA Padosan CSR Award 2023 instituted by Trivandrum Management Association (TMA) for the commendable CSR initiatives implemented by the global firm.

The award was announced today, ahead of TMA’s Annual Management Convention TRIMA 2023 being held here on May 18-19.

The major CSR initiatives of UST, the jury noted, include the global firm’s commitment to building an empowered and sustainable society through its CSR activities in 2021-22. UST’s initiatives such as healthcare programmes, educational support, disaster management and COVID-19 relief efforts actively contributed to the well-being of communities and making a positive impact on society, the jury added.

The award will be presented by Hon’ble Governor of Kerala, Shri Arif Mohammed Khan, at the inaugural ceremony of TRIMA 2023 on May 18, at Hotel O by Tamara.

The Hon’ble Governor will, on the occasion, also present the TMA-Adani Startup Award 2023 to Genrobotic Innovations Pvt Ltd, for its cutting-edge innovations in the robotics scientific technology domain, which have significantly contributed to the well-being of society.

Taking off as a startup, Genrobotics has displayed innovation in solving different social issues and has emerged as one of the most impactful companies through various robotic solutions, notable among them being ‘Bandicoot’, the world’s first robotic manhole cleaner, aimed at phasing out manual scavenging; and ‘G-Gaiter’, an advanced robotic gait trainer, that helps patients recover rapidly from paraplegic disabilities.

The Governor will also give away TMA-KIMS Best Paper Presentation Award 2023 on the theme ‘Human Centric and Sustainable Development of Trivandrum — Role of Innovation & Advanced Technology’ to Ms Anju Das S, Mr Aravind S and Ms Nandana S. Kumar of DC School of Management and Technology. They have been adjudged the joint winners of the award.

Ms Subana Sulfi of Asian School of Business bagged the second prize in the same category.

‘TRIMA 2023’ promises to be a landmark event with an impressive line-up of speakers including corporate leaders, administrators, planners and elected representatives deliberating on ‘Trivandrum 5.0—Prosperity Beyond Profit’. Members of Parliament Dr Shashi Tharoor and Dr John Brittas will attend the valedictory session. 

More than 400 delegates, including industry leaders, decision makers, professionals, members of the business fraternity and policy makers, have confirmed attendance and Registration is continuing. While the entry fee for delegates is Rs 3,000, fee for TMA members and student members is Rs 2,500/- and Rs 500/-respectively. Fee for a student non-member is Rs 600.
