KSUM to hold Investor Café on March 7, a day after Seeding Kerala

Kochi, Mar 3: Asia’s largest conclave for aspiring student entrepreneurs is all set to be held tomorrow, as Industries Minister Shri P. Rajeeve will inaugurate the IEDC Summit being organised by Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM) in association with Rajagiri School of Engineering & Technology (RSET).

Unravelling Dimensions Uniting Perspectives’ will be the theme of the event that aims to bring together innovators from various domains. Starting at 9 a.m. at RSET’s Kakkanad campus in the city, it will be addressed by leading personalities and entrepreneurs including Mr Kochouseph Chittilappiliy, Ms Poornima Indrajith, Mr Lokanath Behara, Dr Renu Raj IAS, Ms Lenaa Kumar and Ms. Shivangi Jain.

The IEDC (Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centres) Summit, which expects 5,000 delegates, aims to create awareness and identify potential entrepreneurs, right at the undergraduate level. With KSUM as the state’s nodal agency for promotion of innovation and entrepreneurship under the government’s Department of Electronics and IT, Kerala currently has about 425 IEDCs functioning in various educational institutions. They work on domains ranging from agriculture, medical to polytechnic and engineering.

IEDC Summit is a premier event that brings together the most ambitious and innovative student entrepreneurs from across the continent to share their ideas, experiences, and knowledge. The summit is an amalgamation of events from a range of domains, including technology, entrepreneurship and skill development, among others. It facilitates as a platform for connecting student innovators, industry leaders and various startups in addition to providing an opportunity for them to engage and network.

The past edition of Summit saw more than 4,000 innovators as participants.

As a prelude to the current summit, organisers today initiated a series of workshops for the IEDC nodal officers. The weekend proceedings will feature panel discussions, workshops, fireside chats, experience zones, product expo, startup expo, EV expo, flea market and ideathons.

Each of the events has been specifically curated to cater to the needs of aspiring student entrepreneurs adhering to the theme of the summit. The event expects to serve as a starting point for the aspiring student entrepreneurs, thereby promoting a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship.
