Kochi, Sept 25: The ‘Kerala Chef’ competition – an initiative to promote local culinary flavours and talent from across the state – will culminate with two separate finals for amateur enthusiasts and culinary professionals here on Monday.
Standout participants from the three regional qualifiers held over the past week in Kozhikode, Kalamassery and Thiruvananthapuram will compete in the morning and afternoon at Bolgatty Palace and Island Resort.
The awards in both the ‘Professional Competition’ and ‘Amateur Competition’ finals are: cash prizes of Rs 25,000 for first place, Rs 15,000 for second place and Rs 10,000 for third place. All participants will receive mementos and certificates.
The winners and runners-up will be felicitated at an award ceremony during the Spice Route Culinary Festival’s valedictory session in the evening.
Both finals are open to the public.
