Kochi Feb 5: The ongoing Kerala Business-to-Business Meet 2016 has been receiving tremendous response from traders and industrialists from India and abroad with 6,200 business meetings and taking place in the first two days.
So far, 444 delegates have taken part in the meet. As many as 77 buyers from 28 countries held one-to-one meetings with the Small & Medium Enterprises (SMEs) from Kerala.
The Meet, organized by the Department of Industries & Commerce, is being held at CIAL Trade Fair & Exhibition Centre. A total of 200 SMEs from across Kerala are participating in the meet.
The second day of the meet witnessed 3,031 business enquiries from buyers while sellers received 203 confirmed deals.
The three-day meet will conclude on February 6 (Saturday). The joint meeting of all the buyers and sellers will be held at the venue afternoon.
Some of the SMEs manufacturing products unique to the state are getting invitation to start business units abroad besides grabbing attractive orders. A number of SMEs have received invitation to the tax-free zones, especially in Sri Lanka.
K-BIP is the nodal agency for the event, which is organised in association with the Directorate of Industries & Commerce, Directorate of Handlooms & Textiles, Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation (KSIDC), Kerala Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (Kinfra) and Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI).
