Students get a glimpse of India’s space programmes at ISRO Expo

Kochi, Jan 22: Over 3,000 students from in and around the city got a rare glimpse of India’s achievements in space technology at the ISRO Space Expo ’16 hosted by the Toc H Institute of Science and Technology (TIST) at its Arakkunnam campus.


Students and staff from schools across the district visited the exhibition, organized as part of the centenary celebrations of Toc H international.  

The expo showcased the ongoing research activities of the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), along with miniature models of SLV, PSLV, GSLV, and Cryogenic Engines.

An inter-school project competition for students of classes XI and XII based on the theme —‘Energy, Environment and Entrepreneurship’ was also held on the occasion. The first and second prizes were bagged by teams from Bhavan’s Vidya  Mandir, Girinagar, and the third prize went to Bhavan’s  Varuna Vidyalaya Thrikakkara.
