Kochi, Jan 8: A two-day International Conference on ‘Innovative Trends in Civil Engineering for Sustainability’, organised by the Department of Civil Engineering of Toc H Institute of Science and Technology (TIST), began at the institute’s Arakkunnam campus today.
Dr. J. Letha, Vice Chancellor, CUSAT, inaugurated the conference, which aims to provide a platform for students, researchers, engineers, scientists, academicians and industrial professionals from across the globe to present and exchange their research results and activities related to civil engineering and its application in sustainable development.
Dr Vasudev R, Head, Department of Civil engineering, TIST; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Edy Tonnizam Mohamad, Department of Geotechnics & Transportation, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia; and Dr. Deepak Tirumishi Jada, INTI International University, Malaysia spoke on the occasion.
The conference is being organised in technical collaboration with Cafet-Innova Technical Society (CITS), Hyderabad. Indian Green Building Council, Indian Society for Technical Education and Indian Concrete Institute – Kerala, Kochi chapter, are also associated with this conference.
