Inquiries pile up for 40,000 sq ft during road show
Kochi, Jan 16: Potential investors have grabbed office spaces at a newly-constructed tower in popular INKEL Business Park at Angamaly, with major players in green industries sector booking almost one-fourth of its 2.5 lakh sq ft area.
Around 60,000 sq ft. space in the tower has been confirmed for long lease, according to top officials of INKEL Limited, a public-private initiative which is all set to commission the Tower II project at its Angamaly premises in Ernakulam district by April.
Giving further boost to the endeavour, the Tower II is being marketed with impressive results, as proven at a road show INKEL conducted here yesterday. “We received enquiries from the business community from various sectors for around 40,000 sq ft during the road show,” said INKEL Managing Director T Balakrishnan. “But we are keen to accommodate only green industries that do not pollute the environment in any manner.”
Investors from sectors such as IT, ITeS, electronics, education, apparels and food-processing and packaging have approached INKEL for setting up their unit in the Business Park located in a prime destination with easy access to transportation and other facilities.
“The investors are attracted with the built-up space and facilities we provide at economic rates,” Mr Balakrishnan pointed out. “Even, global companies are keen about investing at Business Park. We are receiving inquiries for our other verticals including solar power projects, hi-tech agriculture and facilities management.”
Apart from the Business Park, the Friday road show also promoted the INKEL Greens, a 168-acre SME (small and medium enterprises) Park at upstate Malappuram and 2 lakhs sq. ft. INKES Trade Centre project at Thiruvananthapuram..
