The ICGE 1 Statement, which is expected to serve as a guideline to governments, NGOs and civil society, the private sector and media on the way forward to promote and sustain gender equality, will be released by Dr M K Muneer, Minister for Social Justice and Panchayats.
Joining him in the release of the document will be Prof Naila Kabeer of the London School of Economics, Smt Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary to the Ministry of Steel, Mr Toshihiro Tanaka of UNFPA and Ms Aparna Mehrotra of UN Women. The UNFPA and UN Women are also co-organisers of the three-day conference, together with the Gender Park.
