Thiruvananthapuram Oct 03: For the fifth consecutive year, Stark Communications picked up the top awards, including Agency of the Year title, at the Bangalore Advertising Club’s Big Bang Awards for Excellence in Communication and Media in South India.
The leading ad campaigns agency also received four golds—for its creatives for Kerala Tourism, Malayala Manorama and Heera Homes—six silvers and two bronzes. The other medals were for its work for Aster Medcity and Kerala Blog Express.
“It feels good to be adjudged the Creative Agency of the Year in two of South India’s top advertising awards — Madras Ad Club and Bangalore Ad Club Awards," remarked Shelton Pinherio, who is Executive Creative Director of Stark which is headquartered in the Kerala capital. “Needless to say, this Big Bang is special: it is our fifth one in a row. Moreover, the win goes on to boost our belief that good creative is effective creative.”
The competition was tight with 72 agencies from across India putting forward about 980 entries in 58 categories. The online judging panel included 46 senior advertising, marketing, media, PR and digital professionals, as well as health-care specialists and techno-entrepreneurs from India and the Far East.
Stark Managing Director Roy Mathew said the company was happy that its work is being consistently judged the best by advertising industry leaders. “This recognition will inspire us to produce even more outstanding work that breaks the clutter,” he added.
The two-decade-old Stark Communications with 150-strong staff had, earlier this year, won a slew of medals at the Pepper Awards 2015, the MADDYS 2015 and the prestigious IAA Olive Crown Awards.
